Headphones on
Shure’s newest entry into the headset microphone market is the SM39, designed especially for performers who want the freedom to move on stage without compromising sound quality. The SM39’s cardioid pickup pattern promises to keep unwanted noise under control in various performance settings, and its condenser capsule is said to withstand sound pressure levels of over 144 decibels.
According to the manufacturer, the microphone is shaped to naturally follow the line of the head and jaw, a moisture-repellent coating effectively protects the capsule from sweat, and the adjustable boom arm stays securely in place even during intense movement. Two windshields are included.
The SM39-TQG is compatible with all Shure wireless systems and is also available in the SM39-LM3 version. Depending on the model, the price is slightly above or below 450 euros. With an XLR adapter, the microphone can be used wired, for example by singing drummers.

The Magic of Analog Distortion
The SOMA Harvezi Hazze distortion pedal is said to stand out from the crowd with its unique sonic character — and even its outer shell exudes a retro-futuristic aesthetic that blends vintage spirit with modern experimentalism.
The Harvezi Hazze is described as a versatile distortion pedal, offering a wide range of tones from subtly compressed drive to aggressive fuzz. At its core hides a unijunction transistor, whose properties make it possible to combine distortion, limiting, wave shaping, and signal generation in a single device.
The pedal includes, among other features, an optical compressor with fixed parameters, and its preamp section offers two basic distortion modes: a softer one and a more aggressive one. The tone stack section fine-tunes and balances the overall sound.
According to the manufacturer, the Harvezi Hazze provides a wealth of tools for sound sculpting, making it suitable not just for guitar, but also for bass, drums, and even synthesizers. Priced around 330 euros, this simple yet powerful package is ideal for studio recording, live performance, and experimental sound design.
